I have been busy writing articles to help promote my sites. If you are serious about Internet Marketing then it is important that you realise the importance of writing articles (Article Marketing) as an aid to promoting your business.

Article Marketing as it is called does not just refer to the traditional articles as published by Ezine, Scribd etc. It also relates to articles that you can put on free blogs such as Squidoo, Blogger, Weebly etc. These can all be monetised if you wish, but the real and primary reason for them is as sign posts to your main site. The importance of backlinks can not be over stressed, did I say that you really need backlinks? This is where article marketing comes into its own, a site such as Ezine has literally millions of back links so its importance when pointing at one of your sites can not be over stressed.

However please be aware when looking for back link opportunities that it is quality not quantity that count. My Classical Guitar site http://www.classicalguitartdh.com has around 20 to 30 backlinks, but is ranked on the first page of Yahoo above the Wikipedia site with millions, how? It is because my overall quality is better and my site is optimised on my keywords (Play Classical Guitar).
